Not that it’s that complicated, but I never really ‘thought through’ the idea of new wine & old wine skins.
We are living in times when all of what was once considered ‘reality’ is being & will be challenged. As I write this, the momentum is building towards that moment when people will be shown things they never dreamed were, or even could be true. Although the ultimate goal of what will transpire is the righteousness, safety & healing of our society – and the entire world - the process undergone to get to that point will cause some pain. Shock may lead to disbelief, denial, anger...maybe trauma. A ‘reality disconnect’ will probably occur for some of us, possibly for many. And people are going to NEED to find an anchor for their souls.
There needs to be a reality that transcends the place in which we may suddenly find ourselves. A place of shipwrecks & dismay and worse. When we wake up in the coming mornings, we will need to be able to immediately reach out for solace, comfort & stability. Preferably before your feet even hit the floor...there NEEDS to be a way. I have said this before and I will say it again, and again, there is a Way, and only One, within which we need to place ourselves by faith. The Jesus who said, ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life’ is here for us now. Today…
